Family Pictures

This past Sunday, we went and had pictures made at the Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth and then we to the Gaylord to look at the lights, walk through the ICE show and had some hot cocoa.

Supergirl!

We had such a good halloween! We carved a pumpkin and went tricking or treating around our neighboor and across the street in Avery's friend's neighborhood. She was the cutest little Supergirl. We rolled her hair in rollers and put a little bit of make up on. When we got home, we sat out front in lawn chairs and passed out candy to other little kids. Avery did a great job and I was very proud of her.

Ugh! Seriously?

Today I walked Avery to school (which has been our daily routine) and I wanted a hug and a kiss. She said I could have a hug, but no kiss. I asked her again for a kiss. She said ok and stuck out her forehead. I asked for another and she said "Ugh! Seriously?!?

Jack and Jill

Avery had her first assignment at Kindergarten. She had to recite a nursery rhyme in front of the class, dress up and bring a prop. She chose Jack and Jill and she brought a pail. She memorized it very quickly and did a great job.

Sophie

Today, Stephen and I surprised Avery by saying we were running an errand and going into these people's house and we let her pick out a King Charles Spaniel. We named her Sophie and Avery was so excited. I think Avery will do fantastic with her. Sophie seems to be settling right in. It felt kinda sad to take her away from her 5 sisters and parents, but we will be a good home for her.

First day of Kindergarten

Avery did wonderful on her first day of Kindergarten. I was so proud of her. She goes to Donald Elementary and her teacher is Mrs. Grimes. I walked her to school since we live right around the corner and walked home. She didn't show much hesitation and was excited to start Kindergarten. When she got to class, I just gave her a brief hug, kiss and a "Have a Great Day". I was surprised that I did not cry. She did decide that she didn't want to hold my hand in the school. :(

Avery had to get on the bus to a new after school program, but she did great with that and when I went to pick her up, the daycare told me that she was standing outside smiling waiting on the bus. I was so proud.

Our New House

Avery has such a cute bedroom in our new house and a playroom and about 10 little babies that she wants Stephen and I to kiss and hug and tuck in each night.

There is Froggie, Beary, Angelina, Fluffy, Softy, Ms. Plewdle, Bear Bear and Mr. Stripes.

Sometimes we play Wii at night and she has so much fun.

Primrose of Hall Johnson

Avery just finished her program at Primrose of Hall Johnson where she spent the last 2 1/2 years. It was really enjoyable though Avery had a couple incidents where she hit the teachers and got sent to the office.

This is a picture of Avery getting ready for one her field trips. They took field trips twice a week during the summer program and had to wear the yellow shirt. They went to the Planetarium, Zoo, Museum of Printing and Engraving, Cowboys Stadium, The Ranger's Game and more.

Summer Fun

Well, the summer is getting ready to close. We have done some really fun stuff and I have really enjoyed Avery and her fun and funny personality. Here are a couple things we have done.
  1. Disney Princesses on Ice
  2. Swim Lessons
  3. Manicures and Pedicures
  4. Ringling Barnum & Bailey Circus
  5. Playdates with Avery's friends
  6. Feeding the ducks at the park
  7. Riding her new bike (with training wheels)

Too much too write

I simply cannot believe it has been six months since I have blogged about Avery. A lot has changed in those six months. In fact, our whole life has changed. I met Stephen and well, Avery met Stephen too and we are both in love. :) Stephen lives with us now and we are in the process of purchasing a house in Flower Mound.

Avery went with us to visit Stephen's family and was showered with gifts. Needless to say, she feel instantly in love with them. She got sunglasses, a purse, two necklaces, bracelet, lotions, perfume, nail polish, shower gel, bubbles, puzzles, an arrow head necklace and some happy face beads. We had a great time.

Avery graduated from Pre-Kindergarden at Primrose. Her teacher is Mrs. Herrera and Mrs. Landenberger. They are really good with Avery. They interviewed all the kids before the graduation and they asked Avery "If you could change one thing about your mom or dad, what would it be?" Avery answered "My mom's jeans because her jeans have holes in them." Too cute.
